I used the sky, the blackbird, the girl, the butterfly, the hand, and the leaves. I started with the butterfly, and added pieces one by one where I felt they could work. as I finished, my girl began to look like a god to me, maybe a god of freaks. The way she seemed to be rising up reminded me of the title of the Kenneth Anger film "Lucifer Rising". To feminize it more I decided to name her after the Greek goddess of the underworld, Persephone.
