They aren't just here in NYC. While in Mass. this weekend, I saw many Red Admirals. This one was very territorial, continuing to return to this window, and at one point chasing away a bumblebee. I have other images of NYC butterflies on my blog http://matthewwills.com/tag/butterflies/
