I want to point out different perspective from this topic. My husband and I are not from NY, so we don't have any family near by. I work full time, so i hire a nanny. She takes care of 2 babies in her apartment. I pay $10/hr. It is reasonable, but she takes care of 2 babies so she makes $20/hr. She gets her salary in cash, so she doesn't have to file Tax. In the end, she make more than I do. I work as a graphic designer. Also she is qualified with medicare, so she has much better health insurance than my husband's. So my point is being nanny is not a bad professional to be!!! I should switch my career!?
