Vacant storefronts become artist spaces

I just heard learned about an underground movement to take advantage of the many buildings left behind by businesses that have closed in the Recession. A nonprofit group called No Longer Empty turns the vacant storefronts in NYC into art spaces. On Monday they are holding a CD release party/concert for a local orchestra, Metropolis Ensemble, in the old Tower Records building.
