Records and recordings (78s mostly), jazz age music from the mid 20's and 30's.

Honestly, he's a DJ, and plays most of them on "The Big Broadcast" on WFUV, 90.7 FM every Sunday night from 8-12pm. The very fact that he brings his collection of AMAZING, obscure and mostly lost recordings to the world is a minor miracle, in my opinion. (And not to brown nose-but that's one of the things I love about that other radio show, "New Sounds")

:

Tons. (No idea, I think in the thousands. Ask him) He sells and buys on eBay all the time too.

:

??? Good question. No idea.

He uses his collection for good and shares it with the world on his radio show. He just passed his 2000th show and has been doing this since the mid-70's. Sheer force of persistence keeps this music alive and thankfully he's lasted into the digital age. I honestly think a huge portion of his collection would be lost (like early films) for sheer lack of accessible and playable copies.
