New York Public Radio's Volunteer Ambassador Program

Our volunteer list is full at this time. Please check back for future opportunities to volunteer.

New York Public Radio is America’s premier public radio franchise, comprised of WNYC, WQXR, and The Jerome L. Greene Performance. Collectively we produce news, information, classical music programming, cultural affairs programming and live events.

WNYC has opportunities for interested volunteers to serve at WNYC's administrative offices and community events. Throughout WNYC's history, the station and volunteers have enjoyed a rewarding partnership. Volunteers assist WNYC's staff at the station's offices as well as participate in the station's community events in the five boroughs. When you join WNYC's volunteer community, you are kept informed of upcoming opportunities. The service WNYC volunteers provide helps keep the station running -- and the station and its employees greatly appreciate their generous contribution of time and effort.

WNYC & WQXR Ambassadors
Assist Community Ambassador with WNYC & WQXR community outreach efforts, educating audiences about programming, upcoming events and signing people up for our newsletters. Our goal is introduce the station as a resource to the community, fostering conversations that allow us to explore stories, issues, and concerns that are important to the public and determine how we can help. Ambassadors help serve as our footprint in the community by assisting with bringing new voices into public media and helping us find real new ways to involve the public in the work we do.
