A reactor at the Indian Point Nuclear Plant that was shut down for repairs should be back online before the end of the week, officials with the company said Tuesday.

Entergy Nuclear, the owner of the plant in Buchanan, N.Y., said it shut down the reactor a week ago so a pump that supplies cooling water could be repaired. The company said there was no release of radioactivity.

Entergy Spokesman Jerry Nappi said repairs are ongoing and should be complete by the end of the week.
