Food trucks are coming to the World Financial Center.

Up to five trucks will park in a lot just north of the Hudson River Yacht Harbor, catering to the lunchtime needs of workers, starting Monday.

Kimchi Taco, Mexicue, Red Hook Lobster Pound, Schnitzel & Things and Eddie's Pizza are among the 21 trucks signed up to appear there on a rotating basis.

It's Manhattan's first food truck hub since the lot on West 30th Street beneath the High Line was closed at the end of the summer in 2011. (It will not be reopening.)

"What all the food trucks are starved for is a safe place to vend, where they can be a part of the community," said David Weber, founder of the New York City Food Truck Association. Weber said increased enforcement of traffic laws have made it difficult for the swelling ranks of upscale food trucks to find places to sell to consumers.

Brookfield Properties, which operates the World Financial Center, invited the food trucks in while it renovates the retail passageway immediately to the south of the Winter Garden.

That section of the complex has been closed since November, and won't reopen until 2013. 

Since 2011, food trucks have also frequented a lot donated by Rockrose Development in Long Island City, Queens.
