Police say they have a person of interest in custody in the death of a man who was pushed onto the subway tracks at 49th Street in Manhattan Monday.
Police Department spokesman Paul Brown tells The New York Times that detectives found the suspect after reviewing video surveillance footage from subway stations and other cameras posted in the area.
The suspect has not been identified. Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said the suspect may have been talking to himself before pushing the victim. He described the man as a black male in his 30s with short dreadlocks.
The victim, 58-year-old Ki-Suck Han, tried to climb back onto the platform after the attack but could not get out of the way of a southbound Q train. The Queens man died at a hospital shortly after being hit by an oncoming train
