Arun Venugopal is a reporter and the creator of Micropolis, WNYC’s multi-platform series examining race, sexuality, religion, street life and other issues that define New York City. He has been with the station since 2005, and has covered a wide range of stories, including the death of Sean Bell, the controversy over the Park 51 mosque and community center and Occupy Wall Street .

This story did an excellent job capturing what it was like to be there. Listening to the sounds again took me right back there, complete with the spiritual high I felt while in the stadium. I am impressed with this reporting.

Unbelievable! We can all learn from the Jewish community; for one night they put aside their differences and came together to celebrate the learning of the Talmud, regardless of which sect they’re from.
If we would all learn from this, perhaps we would be living in a better world.
