Giuliani Advisor Meets with NH Republicans

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani's dispatched an aide to New Hampshire to meet with local activists to gauge interest in a possible presidential bid.
Giuliani's top political adviser, Jake Menges, hosted private meetings with several New Hampshire Republicans on Wednesday, including Manchester Mayor Ted Gatsas, Congressman Charlie Bass, Stephen Talarico, owner of Manchester Harley-Davidson, and likely gubernatorial candidate Kevin Smith.
"Jake said to me, 'Just keep your powder dry for another few weeks,"' Talarico said.
The former mayor has visited the Granite State four times this year, but has been noncommittal about his intentions. During his last trip in July, he said he wasn't convinced any of the candidates were strong enough to defeat President Barack Obama, and until he was sure, he wouldn't rule out a run.
Menges didn't indicate a final timeline for Giuliani to make a decision, but time may be running out since the country's first Republican presidential primary is in less than four months.
Smith, who supported Giuliani's 2008 presidential bid, said there may be room for Giuliani in the GOP presidential field given the continued dissatisfaction with the current candidates.
