Cannolis for the eating contest to mark the start of the 85th San Gennaro festival

The 85th celebration of the feast of San Gennaro kicked off Thursday with a show of gustatory feats: a cannoli eating contest. Patrick Bertoletti, 26, broke the all time record by eating 32 cannolis in 6 minutes.

Whether it's hot dogs or cannoli's, stuffing your face is disgusting. What the heck are we, geese walking down Goose Liver Spread lane?
Shouldn't it be "cannolo eating contest"? Cannoli is the plural, although Americans use it in the singular (like panini).
