In the wake of the Fukushima nuclear meltdown in Japan, many are questioning whether Indian Point nuclear plant's 10-mile evacuation radius would be sufficient in the event of a catastrophe. Implementing a 50-mile evacuation plan, as U.S. officials suggested be used in Japan, would include parts of New York City.
