Ex-International Monetary Fund chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn's court date has being postponed to August — and his lawyers said they hope his next appearance in court linked to the sexual assault case against him will be the last.
Prosecutors and defense lawyers said Monday that the July 18 date is now reset for August 1.
The Manhattan District Attorney's office said in a letter that the postponement is "to facilitate both parties' continued investigation." No decision has been made about the case's future, according to a spokeswoman.
Defense lawyers said they hope prosecutors will use the time to decide to dismiss the case.
