'Bouquet Bandit' Busted in Brooklyn

A robbery suspect dubbed the "bouquet bandit" because he held fresh flowers while stealing cash from a bank in Chelsea was arrested today at his home in Brooklyn.
Police Commissioner Ray Kelly says the publicity generated by the release Monday of a security camera image of the man led to tips, which led detectives to 44-year-old Edward Pemberton. Pemberton is also suspected in the robbery of another Manhattan bank, in which police say he used a potted plant to hide his intentions. Kelly says Pemberton had odd jobs in the flower district -- "very odd jobs." Charges are pending.
