» New Sounds Live 2011-2012 Concert Season

On Thursday, February 23, 2012, New Sounds Live and the Ecstatic Music festival present an evening of threefold collaboration as Jason Treuting and Nick Zammuto make new pieces for janus; perform a duo set of works for percussion and electronics, as well as  multimedia piece(s) which will include a spelling bee, lasers, and a video called "The Greatest Autoharp Solo of All Time."  Special guests - vocalist Daisy Press and guitarist Grey McMurray, one half of itsnotyouitsme- are also in on the action.

This concert is a part of the Ecstatic Music Festival and will be webcast live on our sister station WQXR's web service, Q2.  Bonus live introductions and interviews with host John Schaefer will be taped from the stage for later broadcast on New Sounds.
