Governor Andrew Cuomo took a moment to applaud the $22 million Adirondack Club & Resort deal in the Town of Tupper Lake during a conference call on Wednesday. But not everyone is a fan of the deal. Today we will be joined by attorney Bob Glennon of Protect the Adirondacks and Charlie Morrison of the Sierra Club. They are suing the Adirondack Park Agency (which they say has “become a rogue agency”), the DEC and the developer of the Adirondack Club and Resort.

Susan, I really enjoy your Capital Pressroom segments. And you have an appropriate name as well. As Bernie Madoff "made off" with all that money, so your broadcasts "are better" than those of the person before you!!
Susan! You disappointed me! You let Anne Marie Buerkle get away with the false claim that defense spending was only a small percentage of government spending?! Please set the record straight for your listeners!
You had a couple of cops on last week. They were talking about a book of police management. One style of management was statistical using only quantitative methods. The other style was community relations. What was the name of the book and the names of the aughors. Thanks.
Enjoyed your program this morning. I live in the Town of Colesville in Broome County. I am a Farmer . I have grown produce here for 21 years. I am apposed to fracking as are other "real" farmers. Since I am planning on educating my neighbors about various fracking issues I am grateful for the information about Nationwide insurance. We are stewards of this wonderful state. I will live here long after those who want fracking have moved to warmer climes with all the money they make :). Thanks for caring about this wonderful place to live.

Heaven forbid, if Bon Glennon and Charlie Morrison actually cared for what happens around Tupper Lake and the people who live there. It is a economically depressed area, the Adirondack Club and Resort would be a needed shot in the arm. Most of the infrastructure is already there. These people probably don't even live in the area and have never visited it. They sit in their ivory towers and think they know what is best for people who live in and around Tupper Lake. As a former resident of Northern New York, I support this project, as do my friends who still live there. I agree very much, with the comments left by Mark Moeller above. This project was not taken lightly.
The Adirondack Club and Resort went through an eight year review process and was approved with a 10 to 1 vote by the APA commissioners. The extreme environmentalists oppose all development in the Adirondack Park and only agree with the APA when it suits their narrow agenda. It's unfortunate that the Sierra Club has joined forces with Protect the Adirondacks to try to kill a significant opportunity for the North Country.
