You seem misguided by all the BS the politicians are telling you. There is to much foolish spending outside the classroom. Are you aware schools are forced to order supplies from vendors who have contracts with the city. In return they increase their prices 5 to 10 times the cost it would be if they were able to go elsewhere. Moreover, the city has a department that deliver supplies to the schools. This department delivers heavy material as well as the small ones. They are scheduled from 7:30 to 3:30. They are only aloud to make 3 deliveries which has them done by 11:00 am. Do not ask me what they do for the rest of their paid day's. Free cars, ez passes, cell phones to supervisors is another way the DOE wastes money. But hey lets blame those who dedicate their lives to help others. That makes sense.

Add in at least another 5,000 teachers to fully fund the pensions that are already guaranteed, no matter how much future teachers (if and when there ever are any) are shafted.

Sounds like the parameters are beginning to come into focus. And that's what we'll get while spending $20,000 per student -- $240,000 per 20 students -- including the cost of the retired.
