state of the city 2011

Wednesday, January 12, 2011 - 12:27 PM

Michael Bloomberg's 10th State of the City speech will be delivered at the St. George Theater, on Staten Island.

The mayor confirmed the speech's location - which changes every year - during a press conference about the latest snow storm. When asked what his message will be for the speech, he said, "we're working on it." He added, "Come to the speech and you'll get the message. In advance, no."

The major focus of Bloomberg's administration was already laid out when he advocated for the extension of term limits. Namely, he could manage the city as it adjusted to a new, more modest fiscal reality.
