Hevesi2006.com?

October 30, 2006

Looks like NYS comptroller Alan Hevesi is engaging in the usual campaign rituals in the wake of the personal driver scandal. He relented to a debate request last week, now he's buying ad time, but he's yet to get a reelection website. A quick domain name search shows hevesi2006.com is still available, if he wants to get one up before Nov. 7. Maybe it has something to do with this...

Update: Back in September, Hevesi's Republican opponent Callaghan pointed to the Hevesi website he wanted to see.

Kevin Walsh, urban explorer, creater of www.forgotten-ny.com and the author of Forgotten New York: The Ultimate Urban Explorer's Guide to All Five Boroughs (Collins, 2006) was a guest on this morning's show. We received several emails about whether Ft. Greene Park was designed by Olmstead and Vaux (pronounced "vox", by the way) of Central Park fame. Here's the history.
