The video-sharing service YouTube is now part of the Billboard Ratings.
The company announced the change Thursday, and this week's internet sensation, "Harlem Shake," took the top spot, due in large part to its online popularity.
Billboard Editorial Director Bill Werde said it was a natural step to include YouTube in the national ratings.
"If you look back over the last year or two, you're seeing a situation where YouTube isn't just a part of certain hits but that, you know, some hits can kind of emerge and exist almost entirely within the environment of YouTube."
Werde said Billboard will continue to evolve with the trends in music.
