Much of the region is under a blizzard warning as a n'oreaster bears down on the area. Here's the latest on official statements, planning and updates that you'll need to watch.

Here's what you need to know before the storm picks up in intensity by Friday evening.
The National Weather Service's Tim Morrin says New York City could get see up to a foot of snow accumulation. the areas north of the city could get as much as 14-15 inches, while the eastern portion of Long Island could get as much as 17-20 inches of snow accumulation.
Connecticut, especially the eastern portions of the state, could see as much as two feet of snow. While, to the west, Northern New Jersey could see as much as 10 inches.
Local and State governments are all preparing for the storm. Here's what they're saying:
