Elderly Man Mistakenly Shot by Cop During Bronx Drug Bust

A cop mistakenly shot an elderly Bronx man in the stomach during a drug bust early Saturday after police forced their way the apartment, officials said.
The 76-year-old man was shot in the abdomen as police with the narcotics division and the Emergency Services Unit were serving a warrant at the Evergreen Ave. apartment around 7 a.m. Saturday. He was taken to Jacobi Hospital where he is in stable condition.
A 41-year-old man who lived in the apartment and was present during the shooting was arrested after cops found heroin in the flat.
