Lazio Gets Nod from Conservative Party
Sunday, March 21, 2010
New York, NY –
Leaders of the state Conservative Party have given their backing to Republican Rick Lazio for governor. Lazio won Saturday's vote by 5 to 1 ratio at a party conference in Brooklyn. Lazio faces challenges for the Republican line from conservative Democrat Steve Levy, the Suffolk County Executive, and Buffalo businessman Carl Paladino. No Republican has won statewide in New York without the Conservative Party endorsement.
