Truck Hits 172nd Street Station
Thursday, June 24, 2010
The MTA is reporting that a truck hit an elevated structure at 172nd Street and Southern Blvd. in the Bronx and that there temporarily was no service in either direction on the 2 or 5 trains between 149th Street-Grand Concourse and East 180th Street Station.
The MTA says it's all cleared though, and service on the 2 and 5 is back to normal as of about 3 p.m. Thursday.

This shit just got real!!!!! OMG this shit really just real!!!! Peace out man, Apples and Playboy home boys.
I don't know where some truck drivers got their licenses. A few months back there was a tractor trailer driver that decided to ignore the clearance notices and go through the underpass at Avenue J
in Brooklyn.

I'm very glad that the MTA was able to get the job done quickly and expeditiously. Are these kinds of incidents more frequent than in the past? It seems so. Maybe the MTA has got the response down solid as a result.
