The alleged bias attack against a gay man in Queens is drawing expressions of disappointment and exasperation from local politicians. Police say two suspects attacked 49-year old Jack Price, as he was walking home. Manhattan State Senator Tom Duane says he's saddened such an attack would take place just before Sunday's national march in Washington, DC for gay equality.
DUANE: It's a terrible horrible thing that there are people left in this world who would beat someone because of who they are or who they perceive someone to be.
REPORTER: Duane, City Council speaker Christine Quinn, and Queens councilman John Liu issued statements condemning the attack against Price, and praising the NYPD for arresting one suspect. Police are asking for the public's help in locating a second suspect - 21-year-old Daniel Rodriguez.
