Attorney General Files Antitrust Suit Against Intel

New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo is taking the California-based Intel Corporation, the world's largest maker of computer microprocessors, to court. In an antitrust suit filed today, Cuomo alleges the company paid billions to secure exclusive agreements with computer manufacturers to use its chips. "In Intel's market, there were no laws of supply or demand. Instead it was the law of, my way or the high way," Cuomo says.
The Attorney General's case is built around internal company emails which he says show that Intel's top officers considered bribery and threats acceptable business practices.
Intel strongly disputes the charges and plans to take the fight to court.
