Her dramatic escape from a Queens slaughterhouse has turned into a permanent reprieve for Molly the Black Angus heifer. After her capture by police yesterday, and a night in a city animal shelter, Molly was taken today to a 60-acre organic farm in Suffolk County, operated by Rex Farr. He outlined her future, away from the grill.
FARR: Well she's gonna live the rest of her life, which hopefully will be 20 plus years. I mean cows live that long eating organic hay and grass and having a boyfriend.
Molly's new beau is a steer named Wexler, another animal rescued by Farr. He's also adopted goats, burros, and chickens that had fallen off a truck on the Tappen Zee Bridge last year.
