Reviewing Bloomberg's Budget

Today Mayor Bloomberg rolled out an austere $60 billion budget plan for next year that tries to keep the City's basic services intact despite a continued slide in every category of City tax revenues. He calls for laying off almost 4,000 City workers but says unless he gets help from Albany and the labor unions, the list of layoffs will have to grow.
