No deals yet in Albany on an array of legislative issues- from subway fares and drug laws to tax increases. Legislative leaders say they are working toward a budget agreement, but can’t say yet how they will close the $16 billion deficit. Reporter Karen Dewitt has more:

REPORTER: Legislative leaders emerged from another private meeting with the governor and denied rumors and some published reports that they had agreed to raise taxes on New Yorkers making more than $300,000 a year, or had concurred on reform of the Rockefeller drug laws or cuts to hospitals.

Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver says no deals have been reached and reports to the contrary are wrong.

SILVER: It would be an inaccurate story. There is no agreement.

REPORTER: The leaders say they are also, once again, working on an MTA bailout plan and say they hope to have more news before next Wednesday's budget deadline. In Albany, I'm Karen DeWitt.
