no one is talking about individual health insurance, my monthly premiums are almost $1500 a MONTH with empire- which gives me a HMO and POS plan that is often not as good as other empire plans that are group plans- the benefits are not the same and i am paying the highest (probably) in the state- not working, not yet 65 -
i had been living on investments, raising children and doing volunteer work - so i am penalized in a major way by not being in a group plan, this is all state regulated. also individuals should pay the same, small business, large business, individual
