Construction Workers Get Settlement

Three undocumented workers have reached a nearly $4 million settlement with their employers, after a two-year case in New York state supreme court. The two construction workers and a plumber are from Mexico and Ecuador, and claimed they were severely injured on the job. Attorney Brian O'Dwyer says employers have been known to threaten workers with deportation, to keep them quiet about dangerous and unfair working conditions.
O'DWYER: They don't have hard hats, they don't have scaffolding protections, they don't have tie ons, they don't have any of the things. They don't even have decent shoes!
One of the workers says he'll buy a new house with the $600,000 he's set to receive.
