Christine Quinn Says NYC is Bursting with Pride Over Sotomayor

Dozens gathered in a bar in East Harlem to watch the opening of the Senate confirmation hearings for Judge Sonia Sotomayor.
REPORTER: City Council member Christine Quinn was there chatting with patrons, and said she's happy to show her support for the first Latina to be nominated to a Justice position.
QUINN: I think the Latino/Latina community in New York city is bursting with pride! I see it here today in this gathering, I saw at the Puerto Rican Day Parade where there were signs and buttons for Sonia.
REPORTER: The questioning of Sotomayor will begin until tomorrow, after committee members make preliminary remarks and the nominee makes her opening statement.
