Inauguration Reaction

Tuesday, January 20, 2009

In workplaces throughout the region businesses came to a stand still today as people listened to the radio or watched the Inauguration on television.

Grandmother and Morristown commuter Maryanne Fleming said she hopes that President Obama ushers in a new era of accountability in government.

Fleming said if she had 30 seconds with the new president she would press for more help for college bound students and their parents.

FLEMING: And I would like to see people have the ability to pay for their children's college education and I have four children I put through Notre Dame and I am still $180,000 in debt over it after 15 years.

REORTER: Fleming says she had tickets to the inauguration but didn't go because the logistics seemed too daunting.
