Sounds of the Three Kings Day Parade

Wednesday, January 07, 2009

Mexican tribal performers joined camels, sheep and some politicians in the Three Kings Day parade in East Harlem yesterday.

The annual event is organized by El Museo del Barrio and marks the Christian holiday also known as Epiphany when the three wise men visited the infant Jesus. The Totonacan artists you're listening to here are also performing at La Mama through Sunday.
