Sex Abuse Allegations in Orthodox Jewish Community
Tuesday, February 03, 2009
Is it completely overblown, as rabbis say, or an "open secret" in the community? NPR's Barbara Bradley Haggerty has been looking into allegations of child sex abuse in Orthodox Jewish communities in Brooklyn. The Brooklyn District Attorney is investigating the claims, but has been frustrated by a lack of cooperation from rabbis in the community. The DA is trying to work out a memorandum of understanding with Yeshivas so that they will report allegations to his office, instead of just conducting internal investigations.
Listen to Soterios Johnson and Barbara Haggerty discuss the investigation here.

So many nominees with tax problems!! I am British, and the US tax system is way too complicated for me, I guess a lot of folks have similar problems! There should be a simpler way for the US taxation system to work effectively.
