More Questions About Rangel's Finances
Wednesday, August 26, 2009
New York, NY –
More questions are emerging about Congressman Charles Rangel's personal finances. This after he filed an amended report this month that shows he failed to disclose up to a half-million dollars in assets in 2007.
The Harlem Democrat is the powerful chairman of the Ways and Means Committee, which writes the tax code. An aide says that the new report was the congressman's attempt to fix errors in his financial reporting.
Republicans say that the new disclosures demonstrate the need to remove Rangel from his chairmanship.
