100 Hours of Astronomy

The weather may be cloudy, but amateur astronomers have plans to look skyward tonight, and throughout the weekend. It's the International Year of Astronomy, and New Yorkers are among those celebrating by breaking out the telescopes. Patrick DiJusto, contributing editor at Wired Magazine, spoke to WNYC about the events:

We were out there, and yes, amidst the scattered rain and clouds, the Moon and Saturn peeked out around 10PM, just near the end of the event. If the skies are clear on Wednesdays and on Saturdays, we are out there!
