New York, NY –
As Americans cut back on spending, retailers have to compete more intensely for fewer dollars. In Greenwich Village, clothing boutique Hoos is trying to rebrand itself by redecorating its storefront with fake dollar bills. John Medeiros Jr. says they want to make the case that you're better off investing in their clothes than the stock market.
MEDEIROS: We're going to be making money, falling from the ceiling and on the floor and make kind of a slogan, make this you best investment this year, or invest in a good piece that's unique and worth it.
REPORTER: Medeiros says his designs are European classics that don't go out of style.
