GOP Insider May Have Had Role in Spitzer Inquiry

The name of an influential, behind-the-scenes Republican strategist has surfaced in connection with former Gov. Eliot Spitzer’s scandal.

Back in November, Roger Stone had his lawyer write to the FBI alleging that Spitzer was consorting with a prostitute.

The letter says Stone learned the information from "a social contact in an adult-themed club." WNYC’s Andrea Bernstein has more on the man whose influence looms large in local and national politics.
