City Hosts Cyber Summit for Parents

Monday, July 21, 2008

Parents who don't know Facebook from Twitter will have a chance to get up to speed at a one-day summit later this summer. City Council Speaker Christine Quinn announced a CyberSafety Summit, designed to help bridge the digital divide between generations:

QUINN: Join us on August 9th here at City Hall for this summit that I think is really going to help parents know what they need to know to help keep their children safe.

REPORTER: The summit will bring together businesses such as Google and Microsoft, along with educators and policy makers to teach parents-- and kids-- about Internet safety.
