Construction Workers Stay Home as Cement Truck Drivers Strike

The strike by cement truck drivers has extended an already long holiday weekend for many in the construction trades.
Workers throughout the city have been told not to come to work because they can't do their job without cement deliveries.
Danny, who didn't want to give his last name, was supposed to be pouring 300 yards of concrete at a site on West Broadway and Worth Street.
DANNY: And I was supposed to add another floor to this building - but I didn't. I stayed here, I cleaned up the first floor and I kept 25 of my guys home and they might be staying home Monday if it's not settled - and that's a week's pay that they ain't getting.
REPORTER: Danny says most of his workers support the walkout, because they are all union workers but are worried about paying their bills.
