Judge Rules in Favor of Deliverymen

Thursday, February 21, 2008

A judge with the National Labor Relations Board has ruled that the owner of 2 of Manhattan's most popular Vietnamese restaurants must rehire 28 deliverymen who were fired last March.

In a decision, Judge Ray Green says the owner of 2 Saigon Grills illegally retaliated against the Chinese workers because they were planning to bring a wage and hour lawsuit against him.

The popular restaurants are located on the Upper West Side and in Greenwich Village.

Green ordered Saigon Grill to pay the workers for all lost wages and ordered their reinstatement within 14 days.
