With the suicide of bio-warfare expert Bruce Ivins last week, the Justice Department is preparing to close its investigation into the 2001 anthrax attack that killed five people and sickened 17 others.
A spokesperson for the DOJ tells WNYC that, later this week, the FBI plans to unseal and release evidence that the agency believes makes the case against Ivins.
While the Feds are saying “case closed,” New Jersey Congressman Rush Holt is saying, “not so fast.”
He wants the FBI’s director to appear before a subcommittee he chairs. He tells WNYC’s Amy Eddings what America still needs to know about the anthrax scare.
