Shappy: Nerd-poet extraordinaire
Hear him read his poems

New York, NY –
Self-proclaimed nerd-poet Shappy (Jeff “Shappy” Seasholtz) recalls ugly moments of fourth-grade dodge ball that he overcame when he discovered the power of language. A stint as class president in 9th grade and success on the speech team solidified this future poet’s interest in the spoken word. Now a National Poetry Slam champion, as well as an actor and playwright, Shappy lives with his girlfriend, the poet Cristin O'Keefe Aptowicz in New York City. When he isn’t competing or bartending at the Bowery Poetry Club, he is spreading the word of Nerd Power at colleges and venues around town.
