New York, NY –
After Cabico graduated from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, he headed a few blocks east to explore the 1990s poetry scene in Alphabet City. A gay, Filipino man, he says he looks for sincerity in the poetry world. Cabico is the recipient of the Writers for Writers award in recognition for his contributions to the writing community, and he is an ensemble member in the NY Neo Futurist's production of Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind. He teaches writing and performance for Urban Word, NYC and hosts The Friday Night Series for the Poetry Project at St. Mark’s Church. Reggie’s published works include The Petting Zoo, I Saw Your Ex-Lover Behind the Starbucks Counter and Poetry Nation: An Anthology of North American Spoken Word and Written Poetry.
