A Closer Look at Carnegie Hall

The towers that sit above Carnegie Hall have been home to artists of all kinds for over a century - including Isadora Duncan, Leonard Bernstein and Norman Mailer. Today, the state’s Supreme Court heard arguments over the future of the tenants still living there. They have survived the recent efforts of the Carnegie Hall Corporation, the building’s managing agent, to take back the space for arts education. Reporter Jonah Engle has more on this vanishing piece of New York cultural history.
