Monday, November 26, 2007
New York, NY –
State legislators have thrown their support behind Attorney General Andrew Cuomo's doctor ranking model.
Assembly speaker Sheldon Silver and Senate Majority Leader Joe Bruno say they will pass legislation to ensure that the model is used by all insurance companies who do business in New York.
Cuomo says the ranking model balances price with national quality care standards. Six major health insurers have already agreed to follow the new system.
