IRS Special Agent in Charge announces charges against former Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik (Andrea Bernstein/WNYC)

Bernard Kerik pleaded not guilty to charges that include tax fraud, receiving gifts from a company seeking city contracts while he was a public official, and lying to the White House during his failed bid to become Homeland Security chief.
