Before you ask... it's Greek. And, so is Johnson (via translation). It's a long story... Soterios Johnson seemed strangely drawn to the news, even as a young child.

The fall auction season got underway at Christie's last night with a bang -- a painting by Henri Matisse went for $33.6 million, breaking the previous auction record Matisse's work. The art market has been incredibly strong for a few years, with record breaking sales in Fall 2006 and Spring 2007. Art critic Lee Rosenbaum joined WNYC to discuss what we can expect this season.
